The event highlight
The Valley Autumn Wildschönau event series had some highlights in store.
This year, the series of events will take place from September 12 to October 11, 2025 with a variety of autumn events.
The focus will be on culinary delights and traditions as well as completely new aspects.

Autumn offers a special variety of culinary delights.
The “Culinary Dragon Trails” are a real treat for the palate. From turnip specialties and hearty meat dishes to vegan dishes, pure indulgence awaits.
Colorful event program for 2025
The Valley Autumn Wildschönau offers a diverse and exciting lineup of events.
- The Alpine Music Festival on September 12 and 13 sets the perfect tone for the start of Valley Autumn 2025. Look forward to two days filled with captivating performances by outstanding music groups.
- On September 20, experience a festive spectacle that keeps farming traditions alive during the traditional Almabtrieb. Magnificently adorned cows will descend from the alpine pastures into the valley, accompanied by music and regional delicacies.
- On October 4, the Steinerhof will host an Open Distillery Day, where visitors can get an up-close look at the fascinating process of Krautinger distilling. At midday, visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of regional delicacies.
- A unique alpine brunch with a cheese festival will take place on September 28 at the Schönangeralm. The day begins with an emphasis on award-winning cheese varieties, followed by a fashion show showcasing the latest trends in traditional costumes.
- The Culinary Promenade at the Drachental Family Park, held on September 27 and October 3, promises to be a true highlight. Wildschönau’s TV celebrity chef will offer tastings of his culinary delights, while local producers present their goods at various stalls. Open-air vibes are enhanced by music, refreshing drinks, and wine and beer tastings. Live bands provide entertainment, and entry is free!
- For years, the Museum Festival at the Bergbauernmuseum has been a must-visit event. On October 5, guests can enjoy a vibrant program featuring traditional Tyrolean folk music, with the famous Krautinger playing a central role.
- On October 11, the Höhenweg Trophy will mark the grand finale of Valley Autumn. This hiking challenge along the Wildschönau Höhenweg to the Schönangeralm is the perfect way to wrap up the hiking season with an unforgettable experience.

Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival is a convivial fall festival. On October 05, 2025, a colourful program will take place at the zBach Mountain Farm Museum. You can experience craftsmen, Tyrolean folk music and culinary specialties. Of course, the famous Krautinger is also a must!
High Trail Trophy
At the end of the TAL Herbst Wildschönau it gets sporty! For all those who love challenges, the Höhenweg Trophy on October 11th is a good tip. The hiking challenge leads along the Wildschönauer Höhenweg to the Schönangeralm at the end of the valley. There are great prizes to be won by the fastest.

Autumn time = hiking time
Autumn is a wonderful time for hiking in the mountains.
The air is clearer, visibility seems to be wider and the bright colors of the leaves are beautiful to look at.
The Markbachjoch cable car in Niederau is the easiest way to get up the mountain. The cable car is in operation until October 19, 2025 and is included in the Wildschönau Premium Card. The card also includes the hiking bus to the popular Schönangeralm hiking starting point.
Guided hikes take place until Ocotober 17, 2025. Many mountain huts and restaurants are also open in the fall.
