The new event highlight
The new TAL Autumn Wildschönau event series had some highlights in store.
Next year, the series of events will take place from September 21 to October 11, 2025 with a variety of autumn events.
The focus will be on culinary delights and traditions as well as completely new aspects.
You can look forward to the highlights of the Autumn in the valley 2025!
Autumn offers a special variety of culinary delights.
The “Culinary Dragon Trails” are a real treat for the palate. From turnip specialties and hearty meat dishes to vegan dishes, pure indulgence awaits.
Colorful event program for 2025 follows
The TAL Herbst Wildschönau offers a varied program.
- At the Open Distillery Day, you can learn lots of interesting facts about the art of Krautinger distilling at the Steinerhof.
- A somewhat different alpine breakfast pint with cheese festival takes place at the Schönangeralm. There, the multi-award-winning cheese variations take center stage before the latest traditional costume trends conquer the catwalk at the fashion presentation. The “Old Flegl” provide music and the best entertainment.
- The gourmet promenade at the Drachental is postponed until 2025 and promises to be a real highlight. The Wildschönau TV master chef with his own cookery school invites you to sample dishes from his delicacies kitchen. In addition, Wildschönau producers offer their home-made products at numerous stands in the “Drachental Wildschönau Family Park”. There is also plenty of open-air feeling with chilled music and cool drinks as well as a wine and beer tasting. A musical sound experience with bands is guaranteed. Free admission!
- The Harvest Festival at the Bergbauernmuseum has been a must for many years. In addition to a supporting program with Tyrolean folk music, the famous Krautinger must not be missed.
Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival is a convivial fall festival. On October 05, 2025, a colourful program will take place at the zBach Mountain Farm Museum. You can experience craftsmen, Tyrolean folk music and culinary specialties. Of course, the famous Krautinger is also a must!
High Trail Trophy
At the end of the TAL Herbst Wildschönau it gets sporty! For all those who love challenges, the Höhenweg Trophy on October 11th is a good tip. The hiking challenge leads along the Wildschönauer Höhenweg to the Schönangeralm at the end of the valley. There are great prizes to be won by the fastest.
Autumn time = hiking time
Autumn is a wonderful time for hiking in the mountains.
The air is clearer, visibility seems to be wider and the bright colors of the leaves are beautiful to look at.
The Markbachjoch cable car in Niederau is the easiest way to get up the mountain. The cable car is in operation until October 19, 2025 and is automatically included in the Wildschönau Card. The card also includes the hiking bus to the popular Schönangeralm hiking starting point.
Guided hikes take place until Ocotober 17, 2025. Many mountain huts and restaurants are also open in the fall.
