St Anthony‘s Chapel is located approx. 200 m from the parish church, slightly off the main road.
It was built between 1706 and 1708 by master mason Hans Hueber to replace an older chapel.
The builder used a chapel in St. Johann i. Tirol, which is also dedicated to St. Anthony, as a model for the octagonal building.
The main altar is magnificent. In it’s centre two angels carry an image of grace, presumably the work of a Kufstein painter.
Next to the high altar are two proscenium doors painted in the early rococo style. The frescoes in the dome depict well-known events from the life of St Anthony.
The beautiful Chapel is well worth a visit.
