While the kids attempt their first turns in the Schatzberg Zwergenland, parents and experienced ski fans can enjoy action-packed sports fun in the snow park. Markbachjoch mountain in Niederau
Either for family fun together on the Märchenwiesen run or the children's first attempts on the beginners' slope - the Markbachjoch Niederau ski area has the right slope for all levels. The easy village lifts right in the centre of the village are easily accessible on foot and transport snow-loving visitors directly to the family-friendly slopes. Little ski fans can enjoy the wide range of activities on offer in the Kid’s Area, while parents and grandparents take a break on a sunny terrace with a fantastic view of the idyllic valley.
Oberau & Roggenboden family lifts
The popular ski lifts in Oberau at the Drachental Family Park are ideal for family fun. Here you can combine skiing with winter adventures such as ice skating, slope sledging or a ride on the Alpine Coaster.
Our tip: The Riedmann lifts on sunny Roggenboden in Oberau offer an easy practice area and also boast floodlit skiing and tobogganing - perfect for unforgettable après ski!

Free ski passes for children
In the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau we have attractive family offers every year in the spring:
- Free ski passes for children up to 15 years from March 15 to April 6, 2025.
- The offer is valid children born in 2009 and younger.
- Both parents must buy at least a 3 day ticket.
- Small children born in 2019 and younger ski for free the whole season.

Build an igloo
An extraordinary and entertaining winter activity is igloo building. A suitable building site in the snow is sought, either on foot or with snowshoes. Under the expert guidance of snowmaster Hans, an impressive ice igloo takes shape.
This adventure is perfect for the whole family and offers a chance to unleash creativity. Duration: approximately 2-4 hours, suitable for groups of 4 to a maximum of 10 people.
