Award-winning Krautinger schnapps from a traditional organic farm
The Ebersauhof in Wildschönau is known for its unique Krautinger – the famous schnapps made from turnips, which is exclusively produced in this region. Yvonne Prosser distills the Krautinger twice a year according to traditional distillation rights.
The farm, which was built in the 15th century, is a traditional family business and has been certified as an organic farm since 1996. The Krautinger and other products are available at various events, directly from the farm, and also at SPAR supermarkets. In 2024, the Krautinger from Ebersauhof was awarded "Krautinger of the Year".
