By the time the traditional cattle drive takes place, autumn has truly arrived in the Tyrolean mountains, and everyone comes together to celebrate the farewell to summer. Adorned cows arrive in Auffach at midday, at the foot of the Schatzberg, greeted with applause and traditional folk music. Visitors and locals stroll through the craft and farmers' market, enjoying Wildschönau’s culinary delights.

At the grand Almabtrieb on September 20, 2025, a diverse program will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The festival grounds are located at the valley station of the Schatzberg cable car in the center of Auffach.
