Niederau - Glantersberg - Niederau

Start this pleasant mountain bike tour in the centre of Niederau. Take the village road downhill to Hopfgarten (L41) on many serpentine bends. At the junction keep right towards Kelchsau. After just a few metres turn left onto a little bridge. Turn right onto the main road. At the Schipflinger Bakery take the narrow road right opposite the sawmill Neuschmied up to Glantersberg. This quite steep path leads along a refreshing, clear brook. After the first, small settlement at Glantersberg you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful meadows and forests. Now the tour continues leisurely until the last steep climb before getting to the village Kelchsau. In Kelchsau, a small resort in a side valley near Hopfgarten, you will be amazed by the idyllic scenery of lovely old farmhouses, deep green forests, pristine nature and babbling mountain brooks. Now the tour continues moderately downhill along the river Kelchsauer Ache back to Hopfgarten. Make sure you have enough power left for the climb back up to Niederau.
